CES Working Papers (CESWP) is a peer-reviewed academic journal with four issues a year. Being launched in 2009 under the Centre for Excellence Jean Monnet for European Studies, CESWP aims to provide young researchers the opportunity to publish the results of their research activities, to get feedback from other researchers, to improve the methodology and to validate their results. Moreover, CESWP fosters an increased visibility of their work, as it is indexed in various international databases.

 

CESWP seeks submissions across a broad spectrum of topics related to European Studies, such as:

  • Economic integration process

  • European Union in the XXIst century

  • European institutions and policies

  • Regional development and competitiveness

  • The challenges of the EU enlargement process

  • European Business Environment

  • Globalisation and regionalism  

The papers reflect only the views of the authors, thus the Centre for European Studies or the Editorial Board cannot be held responsible for the information contained therein.

 

 

 

CALL FOR PAPERS | CESWP is a quarterly journal (March, June, September and December) with a permanent open call. Therefore, papers can be submitted anytime by e-mail in a format which is compatible to Microsoft Office.

 

Deadlines:

  • Issue 1:   31 January

  • Issue 2:   30 April

  • Issue 3:   30 July

  • Issue 4:   30 October

The journal publishes papers in English (both American and British are accepted, although it should be consistent for the entire text), but French may also be accepted as language of publication. CESWP does not require any submission or publication fees.

 

 

 

PEER REVIEW POLICY | In order to be published, papers are evaluated according to their correlation to the topics agreed by the journal, the originality and the personal contribution of the authors. The submitted papers are checked using an institutional anti-plagiarism software. The reviewing process is double-blind. The peer-review respects the originality and personal opinions of the authors, but reserves the editor's right to demand changes, based on reviewers' comments in order to preserve high scientific quality and our readers' interest.  

 

 

COPYRIGHT RULES  | CESWP encourages the publication of original papers which were not previously published or submitted for review to other journals, except for considerably improved previously published papers. CESWP supports the publication of papers presented within scientific conferences, if they were not previously published in a journal or in a conference proceedings. The CES shall not be held legally responsible and shall not pay royalties in case of demands for financial compensations from third parties.

In case of acceptance, the author(s) retain copyright and publication rights as long as there is a clear reference to the first publication within CES Working Papers. All articles are available under the Creative Commons Attribution License which formalises the relation between authors, publisher and third parties. 

 

 

OPEN ACCESS POLICY | The Centre for European Studies within Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași is committed to promote the dissemination of its research outputs. In order to support dissemination, CES provides an open access to all the issues published by CES Working Papers as defined by the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY).
